This
awards winning Rathan House the Guesthouse at Eskbank (1852 and
2003) has undergone extensive upgrading and refurbishing work. This family friendly Guesthouse
(Rathan House 1852) had a new Bed and Breakfast wing
completed in 2004. The MacRaes have added to the
ambiance of a grand old Scottish Mansion. The new wing has excellent standard bedrooms with deep pile Scotch wool
carpeting modern plumbing and ensuite facilities, double glazed sash & case
windows and excellent insulation.
It is in the leafy Eskbank and Newbattle Abbey conservation area.

childsecure, walled garden with a croquet lawn allows you to relax
and de-stress while the kids let off their excess steam playing
with Irene and Ewan's 3 Flatcoated Retreivers. There is also a
